In March 2024 I got to know the OptiLegX®. Being a specialist in equine surgery (Dipl. ECVS) and sports medicine (Dipl. ACVSMR), I can see a lot of area’s where the device can be helpful in many aspects. 

First of all, the device can be used for preparing and recovering the sport horses during competitions, from racing to endurance and jumping/dressage horses. Furthermore, it can have a great veterinary value. Thick legs due to climate (e.g. in the Middle East) or heavy exertion are solved in a couple of sessions due to the compression working action. 

In my opinion, the device can have a great added to improve the performance of a sport horse and helps the veterinarian with issues as lymphangitis, laminitis or any pathology caused by poor blood circulation or lymphatic drainage. Blood and lymph circulation are the keys to performing at a high level.

OptiLegX®  is handig en snel in gebruik! Je hebt twee manchetten die met een rits om de benen van het paard te bevestigen zijn , daarna verbind je de slangen, die vastzitten aan de manchetten, met een kastje dat via een band op de rug van het paard vastzit. Ik vind het vooral fijn om OptiLegX®  te gebruiken bij herstel na intensieve trainingen en concoursen om de bloeddoorstroming in de benen te bevorderen, daar merk je ook resultaat van. Er ontstaan namelijk vochtophopingen in de benen, door een verminderde bloedcirculatie. Door het gebruik van OptiLegX®  worden deze vochtophopingen verminderd omdat OptiLegX® de bloedcirculatie bevordert. Ik merk als ik OptiLegX®  gebruik dat de benen van het paard weer sneller dun worden.
