OptiLegX® uses intermittent compression technology. Special leg sleeves, equipped with air chambers, are inflated and deflated under computer control. This process ensures that the compression in the sleeve builds and decreases in a controlled manner. The programs follow specially developed protocols, precisely varying the pressure in the various chambers. In practice, this works as follows:

• The horse wears the special sleeves around its legs.
• This sleeve is connected to the computer-controlled OptiLegX® system
• Depending on the treatment goal, appropriate intermittent settings are selected.
• The treatment time is easily set, after which the system starts and ends the treatment independently.
• The air chambers in the sleeve fill alternately with air and exert controlled compression on selected parts of the legs.
• Once the horse is used to the use, little guidance is needed.

Different pressure patterns and settings

• The therapy is adapted with variable pressure levels and rhythms depending on the specific goal (e.g. recovery after sports, treating swelling or improving blood circulation).
